NK Indoor 2017

On February 11 and 12 the national championships indoor took place in Apeldoorn. Two well-known names were on the startlist; Bram Elevelt and Moniek Riemersma. Despite the cold and the snow in the months prior to the race Michael's athletes had been working hard to be at the top op their form. The news did not remain unnoticed; a nice news item about Moniek in the news paper!
Moniek started with the 60m sprint. Although she was placed at rank 33, she did great and finished in 8.00 seconds. Good enough to go to the semi finals. Here she ran
8.05 seconds and she took place 22. The next day Moniek started in the 200m series. A poor start, but she managed to break her personal best and she also took the club record in 26.43 seconds! Then it was time to shine for Bram. He competed in the 60m hurdles. With  8.58 seconds he was 0.07 seconds slower than is personal best, though he did qualify for the final. Unfortunately the final did not go as planned. Hurdles of another competitor almost landed in his lane, but he managed to run to 8.60 seconds and a 7th place. Well done Bram and Moniek! Now let's take these performances to the NSK Indoor 2017!
