NSK Teams 2017

Which city may claim the title of best university city? That is what was on stake  during the NSK Teams in Wageningen on Saturday September 9. The day was plaqued by many showers and therefore the results were not too great. But the rain should not spoil the fun right, so everyone did the best they could. An overview of the results today;

At the mile Lars Biemans finished 4th in 4:35.75 minutes. Laura Hoogers did the same for the women's team and finished 4th as well in 5:20.27 minutes. Marco and Peter had their debute in the 2000m steeple chase. Marco Otten finished 2nd in 6:44.72 minutes and Peter became 7th in 7:54.37 minutes! During high jump Aline Bloom jumped to 1.55m and she took 5th place. At 15:10 the 100m races started. Coen Buiting finished 4th in 11.77 seconds and Ezrah Sahetapy became 8th in 12.07 seconds. Exchange student Julija Praprotnik finished 3rd in 12.74 seconds. Of course the relay races were held at the end of the day. Yes, races. There were two this time. First the 4x100m race took place. The men's team were disqualified because of an illegally exchanged baton. The women took 4th place in 51.90 seconds. In the Swedish relay the women's team finished first in an excellent time of 2:22.58 minutes! The men finished 5th in 2:07.17 minutes.
Many Haasjes took 4th place and the women's team as well as the men's team became 4th in this tournament. Nijmegen therefore took 4th place as well. Groningen won the NSK Teams with big thanks to their women's team. Despite the showers and many 4th places it was a fun day with a lot of good results!
