Board 2024/2025:
For some I may still be a new face, I have been a member of 't Haasje for a year now, where I was immediately happily accepted into the sprint group. That year I enjoyed all the training sessions, fanatical Hares and activities so much that when I was asked to become chairman, I walked into it with my eyes wide open. I have now circled the sun almost 21 times and am studying Artificial Intelligence at Radboud University. This year, as chairman, I would like to act as a central point of contact for all old and new members, and maintain and intensify contact with other trainers and other associations. I will do this by showing my face in as many places as possible and making a lot of low-threshold contact. In this way I want to be an easy point of contact for everyone, and easily approachable for trainers and other boards. Together with my wonderful board we are going to make it a fantastic lustrum year.
After a year as a haasje member and many committees behind me (and a bit too little training, oops), the opportunity for a board year came my way. In my short time at 't Haasje I already saw that I enjoyed it too much not to participate anymore. As the guppie of the group, I am only 19, I will fulfill the role of treasurer during this lustrum year. With my enthusiasm, perseverance and precision I think I will fulfill this role with great pleasure and success. I am taking over from Carolijn, who has done a great job last year and had the finances perfectly in order. I hope to continue her good work! Outside of 't Haasje I am finishing my bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences and I like to make my own jewelry and clothing. This year I will also really train more often. So I will not only do my best as Treasurer, but also on the track ;). I am really looking forward to this year and to doing it together with these five fantastic people!

Last year I moved to Nijmegen for the (pre-)master in biomedical sciences. In Haarlem, where I grew up, I was a member of the athletics association KAV-Holland. Because I had such a great time at KAV, it was obvious to me to happily continue with this beautiful sport in Nijmegen! During the introduction period I immediately felt at home with this great group of 't Haasje. The past year has flown by, with fun training sessions, many activities and the associated conviviality. During the training sessions, the trainer often looks at me to be quiet... oops. But it is certainly fun! In short about me, I am 22 years old and besides athletics I like horse riding, reading and drinking coffee. I am currently doing the master in neurosciences. The idea for a board year slowly emerged last year. I had only just become a member when I was already asked to join the board, and since I am already present at almost all training sessions and activities, I signed up six months later. And now I am here, as your new internal commissioner! We are looking forward to a wonderful anniversary year with a fantastic new board, I am really looking forward to it!

This is already my third year at 't Haasje and I am fully integrated; I often come to training sessions and I am in various committees. This year I will finally become a competition member of this beautiful and friendly association. During my board year I will fulfill the function of competition commissioner, something I am really looking forward to. Organizing competitions and doing competitions gives me a lot of energy and I enjoy it when others have fun too. I hope to inspire many members for all NSKs and competitions this year! In addition to athletics, I like a lot of other sports, such as cycling and mountain biking. I hope to have some time for that this year. In addition, cooking and baking always makes me happy, although I fear that I will have to put that hobby on hold for a while. I hope to be able to complete my bachelor's degree in medicine in addition to my board year.

Not planned, but desired. That is the short story about how I ended up on the 45th board of 't Haasje. The slightly less short version goes like this: After 6 years of running in Nijmegen I was looking for a new association. I always thought the training sessions of 't Haasje looked very pleasant, and after training with them once I couldn't help but become a member. After that, the conviviality of the association took over from me. Over the past two years I have become more and more involved as a member. When the possibility of becoming a board member came into the picture I had no choice anymore and so I am on the upcoming board of 't Haasje. Many haasjes will already know me somewhat, but I will tell you a little more about who I am. My name is Yoran Koppes, I am 22 years old and was born and raised in Nijmegen. I am currently in my third year of philosophy, but of course I also have a life besides school. In my spare time I write a lot of nonsense for myself (vague stories about whatever comes to mind), and listen to a lot of nonsense (metal, hardstyle, and all sorts of other stuff that a normal person would just consider noise). I also like to play the guitar, and I really enjoy running.
