Work actions

How it works:

As a member you can carry out work actions every year. Why would you do this? Firstly, because it is of course great fun to make various events in Nijmegen happy with extra hands together with your fellow Hares. In addition, you can also earn back (part of) your contribution by carrying out work actions.

How the payback works:

The amount for the contribution is debited at the beginning of the academic year. At the end of the year, you will partially or completely regain this behavior, depending on the number of work actions you perform. One work action is equal to €25, or the number of hours worked times the hourly wage that an organization pays for volunteer work.

RSC clearing and clearing of exam rooms

RSC stands for the Radboud Sports Center. During the exam weeks, the sports halls are used for exams during the day, but sports are played here again in the evening. This means that in the morning and late afternoon the halls continue to transform from sports hall to exam hall and vice versa. And Haasjes can help with this!

Zevenheuvelenloop and night

This is the largest running event in Nijmegen, with many volunteers helping every year. Because the event is so large, there are also many different types of volunteer tasks. For example, you can help at drinks stations, hand out medals, hand out starting numbers, act as a course keeper, or make sandwiches.

Zevenheuvelenhike and trail

This is also an event of the Zevenheuvelen Foundation. This event takes place in the forests of Nijmegen and here you can also do the same volunteer tasks as with the Zevenheuvelen run.

Stevensloop and Stevens Stadscross

Surprise, surprise, this event is also organized by the Zevenheuvelen Foundation. Just like the Zevenheuvelenloop and night, this activity also takes place on Saturday evening and during the day on Sunday. Here too, many different volunteer tasks are possible. Be sure to check the Stevensloop website for all the different options!

Loam pit cross

This cross is co-organized by the Haasje and every year many members also help, for example as course keepers, to make this cross a great event. Helping with this event means a wonderful day in the green, and seeing many sweaty and sore runners. Didn't you look nice as a volunteer?
