Friday December 15 it was time for the most fun NSK of the year! The NSK Trappenloop (stair climbing race) was held again in the well known Erasmustower. A huge amount of students from all over the Netherlands contended for the title “Dutch Student Champion Trappenloop 2017”.
After the individual races Haasjes Joost van Wijngaarden won the legendary golden double and Saskia Brouwers finished in third position. Haasjes were mostly active during the Duorun and the relay.
In this race different Haasjes took part, among a freshly acclimatised Milou, a PaasHaas (Irene). Essi ran together with his talent team and fought for the title. New this year was the beerchase: because chugging a beer before running 5 floors is something everyone wants to do in their life right? Besides the teams “Single Sophie” and “Cie ze lopen” the PaasHaas competed again. Sadly no haasjes reached the stage in these categories, but participating is more important than winning!
At the end of the day everyone could enjoy a lovely meal in the café of the RSC, together with some well deserved beer. The medals and other prizes were handed out, after which everyone could return home.
