Pien Meijs
Hi, my name is Pien. This year, I am the competition and events secretary. Last year, I became a member of ‘t Haasje, because I could not say goodbye to the athletics when I started studying. Before I joined ‘t Haasje, I trained at Marathon Pim Mulier in Hengelo and in the winter, I participated in regional trainings in Zoetermeer. My favourite technical event is pole vaulting as most of you probably know.
This year, I started with my second year of dentistry. I really like it, but it costs a lot time because of all practice hours.
I already referred to it, but I come from the beautiful Twente. During the weekends, I often go home, because I cannot do without my sisters and dog. Also, I could not say goodbye really to my old association and try to participate in its trainings on the Friday.
Besides athletics, I had always also done gymnastics and horse riding. Unfortunately, I quit that when I started studying. Also, I offered trainings to various age groups at the gymnastics association and during the summer holiday, you can find me in Friesland to teach sailing.
